Autumn Term Report from Winchelsea School

Report from Hannah Parry, Deputy Headteacher, Winchelsea School

 

Pupils from Winchelsea School have thoroughly enjoyed attending West Hants Tennis club for coaching sessions with Roger Dibblin, supported by a group of very cheery volunteers.

 

Pupils have been working on co-ordination, reaction time and speed.  The sessions have been challenging and fun and it has been really superb to see the progress that pupils have made since September.  They have demonstrated such confidence with their tennis skills and are improving their consistency of their forehand and backhand shots.

 

The Manatees Class would like to say a huge thank-you to Roger for coaching them and all the volunteers for giving up their time to help and support them to improve.

 

Next half term we have a different group of pupils attending the sessions at West Hants, and they can’t wait to get started!
