I hope you have had a great summer.  It has been a warm one for us all and I'm sure some of us are now looking forward to seeing a little rain to re-generate our lawns.  Our teams have been busy behind the scenes preparing for the Autumn term!

Now some news on key developments and events.

News from the Bar & Restaurant Team

Over recent months, like everyone, we have faced a sharp increase in food & beverage, energy and labour costs.  We have worked hard with our suppliers to ensure minimal impact, however we are unable to absorb it all.  Therefore we must increase a number of our prices from Friday 9th September 2022, we will keep you informed.

After market analysis we still find ourselves to be extremely competitive and will continue to offer promotions such as Happy Hours every Friday from 6pm-8pm.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and support.  We look forward to seeing you at some social events this Autumn and Winter!

Squash fans, a date for your diary - 1st October!

Nick Matthew OBE, former world number one and three-time World and British Open Champion will at the Club on Saturday 1st October offering exclusive coaching sessions and playing in an exhibition match.  Click here for all the details.  We recommend securing your place early at Reception because places are extremely limited!

Interested in joining our Board of Directors?

Further to my note of 21st May 2022, when I notified you that we were applying for Charity status, the application is still in progress and proceeding in the right direction.  I would like to update you on the appointment of future West Hants Board Directors.

When the Charity status is approved we will appoint new Directors following the resignation of two LTA Directors and a previous resignation of a Director.

West Hants Board applicants guided criteria

The Board are currently working on the governance aspects of the application and the anticipated areas of expertise required will be legal, finance, and marketing with experience of working within the charity sector being beneficial.  If anyone is interested in joining the Board then please send an initial expression of interest to sandra.edwards@westhants.co.uk - further details of the application process will be available on the website as the charity application progresses.

If anyone has any questions relating to anything covered in this newsletter, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.  In the meantime, please continue to check our website, social channels, and club noticeboards for all news & events!
