PT Case Study from a Bride to Be!

I’m getting married this summer so it’s important for me to feel (and look) my best in my wedding dress, which is the driving factor for taking my exercise routine seriously. Having little experience in the gym aside from classes, starting with a PT has made the idea more appealing and less daunting after my initial sessions!

By committing to a number of sessions per week, I guarantee time for myself during the working day. When working from home, especially during the winter months, the days can be extremely long so carving out time in my diary to exercise has been imperative to achieving my goals.

I’m aiming to build lean muscle and strengthen my upper body in particular to reduce lower back pain from my desk job and feel more confident in my appearance.

In terms of small wins to date, I’ve noticed my energy levels and recovery time post session are already improving which is fantastic. I’d struggle with DOMS in the past which would deter me from doing a hard session - and opting for a class. However, consistently attending my PT sessions have made me more resilient and my body more responsive. After discussions with Skye, I’ve also tweaked my diet which has been a huge help in recovery time too and I’m hopeful the muscles will start peeping through soon by sticking to my new lifestyle!
