Running... how to optimise performance and prevent injuries!

Wednesday, March 26 · 7 - 8pm GMT

Learn how a Running Assessment can help you run faster and stay injury-free, optimising performance with a bespoke training plan.

  • Kindly hosted by The West Hants Tennis Club, our Sports & Running Specialist Tom Jeffery will 'run' you through a Running Assessment.

Purpose:

The running assessment aims to provide a thorough evaluation of an individual's running mechanics and physical capabilities. This information is crucial for developing a personalised training plan that optimises performance, prevents injuries, and promotes long-term running health.

We can improve your technique in an hour:

1. Video Analysis

Video analysis is essential for identifying and addressing biomechanical and technique faults that contribute to running injuries.

2. Strength & Conditioning

Mobility, strength, control, and rhythm are key components of good running. Your running physio will identify areas of stiffness and weakness and create a personalized strength and conditioning program to complement your running style and enhance your performance.

3. Tinkering with Technique

We will experiment with different cues to find the most effective way to improve your running efficiency.

Benefits of a Running Assessment:

Injury Prevention: Identification of biomechanical flaws and muscle imbalances that can lead to injuries, allowing for targeted interventions to address these issues.

Performance Optimisation: Improvement of running economy, efficiency, and speed through personalized training and technique modifications.

Enhanced Training Effectiveness: Development of a training plan that is tailored to the individual's specific needs and goals, maximizing training outcomes.

Increased Self-Awareness: Better understanding of one's own running mechanics, strengths, and weaknesses, leading to more informed training decisions.

Whether you're new to running or a seasoned marathoner, our assessment can help you maintain an efficient and injury-free running career.

** Held in The West Hants Club Bar & Restaurant, located just after the Reception on the right.
